We are expanding our Calgary‑based field operations and are looking for driven individuals to join our commercial exterior construction teams. This hands‑on role focuses on installing modern building‑envelope and façade systems on large commercial and institutional projects across the city.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor, physical work, values teamwork, and takes satisfaction in seeing a project progress from initial layout to final installation.
What You’ll Do
- Read and interpret construction documents, layout drawings, and daily work plans
- Set out precise layout lines, elevations, and control points
- Install air and vapour barrier assemblies in line with project specifications and manufacturer guidelines
- Measure, cut, and assemble exterior framing elements, including Z‑girts and other secondary supports
- Install a broad range of exterior wall and cladding systems, such as:
- Aluminum composite panels and architectural metal systems
- Fibre‑cement siding and panel products
- Insulated metal wall panels
- Corrugated steel cladding
- Composite and wood‑look exterior materials
- Coordinate with forepersons, supervisors, and other trades to keep work progressing smoothly
- Support site logistics, including material handling, staging, tool preparation, and housekeeping
- Maintain safe, organized work areas by following company standards and site‑specific safety requirements
What We’re Looking For
- No trade certification required
- Capable of physically demanding work, including lifting materials up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working outside in all seasons and at heights
- Dependable, punctual, and team‑oriented
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Willing to attend safety meetings, toolbox talks, and participate in OH&S programs
- A valid driver’s licence is an advantage
Experience & Site Requirements
- Previous experience with exterior cladding, façade systems, or building‑envelope installation is an asset but not essential—training will be provided
- CSA‑approved steel‑toe footwear is mandatory on all job sites
Pay: $22.00-$37.00 per hour
