School of Modern Dance is looking for an experienced Dance Instructor to join our team.
We’re looking for a passionate and reliable instructor with a strong background in ballet and jazz to teach Sunday ballet and technique classes for both children and adults, starting September.
If you are qualified to teach additional dance styles, including Heels, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acro, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Urban, and more, there may also be opportunities to substitute classes throughout the season as well as additional teaching opportunities may become available in future seasons as we continue to grow.
The ideal candidate:
- Has strong ballet training and a solid foundation in jazz technique.
- Is confident teaching both children and adults.
- Is available to teach on Sundays starting September.
- Has strong classroom management skills.
- Is able to deliver engaging, energetic, and well-structured dance classes that create a fun and positive learning environment.
- Has an outgoing, energetic, and positive personality.
- Has a proven track record of reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
- Is looking to become part of a long-term teaching team.
Experience in studio administration, scheduling, customer service, or operations is also an asset. While not required, these skills may lead to future opportunities within our growing studio for candidates who are interested in taking on administrative roles in addition to teaching and creative part.
