Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer (Construction) to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the construction industry. Prior experience is not required but is a plus; a strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks are essential.
Duties
- Assist with various construction tasks including loading and unloading materials, site cleanup, and preparation of work areas
- Support skilled tradespeople by providing necessary tools and materials as needed
- Operate basic construction equipment under supervision
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulations on-site
- Help with site setup and breakdown at the beginning and end of each workday
- Perform general labor tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials or equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety procedures and protocols
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is a plus but not mandatory
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is advantageous but not required
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors
