Competitive Swim Coach:
- Plan, design, and deliver structured swim training programs for competitive athletes of varying ages and skill levels
- Lead daily swim practices, focusing on technique development, endurance, speed, and race strategy
- Prepare swimmers for competitions, including meet selection, entries, and event planning
- Provide on-deck coaching at swim meets, including race analysis and performance feedback
- Monitor athlete progress and adjust training plans to support individual development and goals
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined team environment that promotes sportsmanship and accountability
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and following established safety protocols
- Communicate regularly with swimmers and parents regarding progress, expectations, and team updates
- Collaborate with assistant coaches and staff to ensure consistent program delivery
- Maintain attendance records, performance tracking, and required administrative documentation
- Support athlete recruitment, retention, and long-term development within the program
- Stay current with coaching techniques, certifications, and best practices in competitive swimming
Requirements:
- NCCP Swim Coach Level 1 or higher (or willingness to get)
- Current Lifesaving Society's National Lifeguard certification
- Current Standard First Aid certification.
- Previous competitive swimming experience (preferred)
- Sound knowledge of proper swimming techniques and water safety rules.
- Strong swimming abilities.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Passionate and enthusiastic.
Schedule:
- Competitive swim coach - 2 to 7h (part time) Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Additional hours can be given if candidate wishes to teach pre-competitive learn-to-swim lessons.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
