The Warehouse Representative is responsible for the accurate and efficient receiving, storage, movement, and shipment of products while maintaining inventory accuracy, a safe work environment, and a clean, professional warehouse. This role supports customer orders, vendor receipts, and intercompany transfers with Distribution Centres (DCs) and other Applied branches.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proactive. They take ownership of their work, recognize discrepancies, perform basic investigations by comparing physical inventory with shipping documents and ERP records, and promptly communicate issues to management for resolution.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Receive incoming shipments from vendors, Distribution Centres (DCs), and other Applied branches by verifying products against packing slips, transfer documents, and ERP system records.

Accurately process all receiving transactions within the ERP system.

Put away inventory into the correct warehouse locations in a timely and accurate manner.

Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders, inventory transfers, and intercompany shipments.

Process outbound shipments using courier and freight carriers.

Perform a final inspection of products and shipments to ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness prior to shipment.

Process inventory transfers and stock movements accurately within the ERP system.

Perform routine inventory cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives.

Identify discrepancies involving inventory, receiving, or shipping by comparing physical inventory, shipping documents, transfer documentation, and ERP records. Perform a basic investigation and promptly report findings to management for further review and resolution.

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse, shipping, receiving, and storage areas.

Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures, and actively promote a safe workplace.

Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as required.

Make local customer deliveries as required.

Support other warehouse and branch operations as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience
Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to safely lift and move materials.

Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.

Good organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Preferred:

Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience.

Experience using SAP or another Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Experience with inventory control and cycle counting.

Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
