TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Prepare and cook a variety of sauces, gravies, curry bases, stocks, reductions, and specialty
accompaniments in accordance with standardized recipes and menu requirements.
● Prepare and cook sautéed dishes, hot appetizers, and accompanying items for meat, poultry,
seafood, and vegetarian entrées.
● Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and presentation of all sauce-based and
prepared dishes.
● Set up, organize, and maintain mise en place for the sauce station before and during service
periods.
● Monitor cooking processes, including simmering, reduction, emulsification, seasoning, and
temperature control to ensure food quality and safety.
● Coordinate with other kitchen stations to ensure timely preparation and efficient service.
● Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards in compliance with company
policies and health regulations.
● Assist with inventory monitoring of ingredients and supplies used in food preparation and
report shortages, spoilage, or wastage.
● Follow standardized recipes, portion control guidelines, and kitchen procedures to minimize
waste and maintain consistency.
● Assist in training and supporting junior kitchen staff during food preparation and service as
required.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent
experience. Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years in the Food Industry.
Language: English
Other skills;
Knowledge of Indian cuisine and preparation of sauces, stocks, and gravies.
Hourly Rate: $36.60 for 30 to 40 Hours per week
