Job Overview
We are looking for a highly organized and detail‑driven Estimator / Project Coordinator to support our custom millwork operations from initial bid through project completion. This hybrid role combines the analytical precision of estimating with the communication and scheduling responsibilities of project coordination. The ideal candidate understands architectural millwork, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and can manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
This job requires 1-3 years of construction estimator / coordinator experience. This job consists of performing 50% estimating and 50% coordinating projects.
Estimating Duties
- Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop comprehensive estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate terms
- Develop accurate labour, material, equipment, and overhead cost estimates
- Assist in bid preparation and submission processes, ensuring compliance with client requirements
- Conduct market research to stay updated on current pricing trends within the construction industry
- Support project management teams in tracking costs and maintaining budget accuracy throughout project lifecycle
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to project estimates for review and approval
- Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation for submission to clients, general contractors, and architects
- Participate in project handoff meetings to ensure smooth transition from estimating to production
Project Coordination Duties
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate project handoff from estimating to production, ensuring all details are clearly communicated.
- Assist with scheduling, procurement, and tracking of materials, hardware, and subcontracted services.
- Monitor project progress, timelines, and deliverables; escalate issues when necessary.
- Maintain organized project documentation, including COIs, change orders, approvals, and revisions.
- Support production and installation teams by clarifying scope, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate information flow.
- Participate in site meetings, coordination calls, and project reviews as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and materials. Experiencing in estimating Millwork projects specifically is an asset.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favourable terms with vendors and subcontractors
- Strong knowledge of construction pricing strategies, labour rates, and market conditions
- Ability to interpret complex blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners
- Prior experience in project management within the construction industry is preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
