About Beacon Children's Centre
Beacon Children's Centre is a private paediatric therapy clinic opening in Mississauga in August 2026, offering Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) services for children and families. Our multidisciplinary team of regulated clinicians delivers coordinated, evidence-based care — and we're building a team that brings both clinical skill and genuine heart to everything we do.
We are seeking an experienced Clinic Coordinator & Behaviour Therapist to fill a unique dual role at the centre of our clinic operations.
The Role
This is a full-time, in-clinic position that combines direct ABA service delivery with clinic coordination responsibilities. The majority of your time will be spent working directly with children — running individual sessions and facilitating group programming under the supervision of our Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA). You will also serve as the administrative and client-relations anchor of the clinic, supporting families from first inquiry through to active programming.
This role is well suited to an experienced Behaviour Therapist who is ready to take on broader responsibility - someone who is as comfortable leading a naturalistic teaching session as they are helping a family navigate OAP funding.
What You'll Do
Clinical (primary)
- Deliver direct ABA therapy sessions (individual and group) as lead therapist under RBA supervision
- Facilitate group programming including social skills groups and other structured group formats
- Implement individualized behaviour programs with fidelity, collecting and recording session data accurately
- Participate in program planning meetings, supervision sessions, and case conferences with the clinical team
- Support caregiver coaching by reinforcing program strategies with families during and between sessions
- Contribute to progress monitoring and assist with program updates under RBA direction
Clinic Coordination (secondary)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and current families — by phone, email, and in person
- Manage client intake from first inquiry through to scheduled assessment, including collecting required documentation
- Support families navigating OAP registration and funding, including providing referral packages and assisting with AccessOAP applications
- Maintain the clinic schedule in our practice management system, managing bookings, cancellations, and waitlist activity
- Process invoicing, payments, and receipts in accordance with billing policies; prepare OAP-compliant documentation for funding claims
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with PHIPA
- Manage day-to-day office functions including supplies, correspondence, and vendor coordination
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience delivering ABA therapy as a lead Behaviour Therapist under RBA or BCBA supervision
- Demonstrated experience facilitating or co-facilitating ABA group programming
- Familiarity with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP), AccessOAP, and the funding landscape for families of autistic children
- Strong data collection skills and experience implementing a range of ABA teaching strategies (DTT, NET, PRT)
- Warm, professional communication with both children and caregivers
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities across clinical and administrative workstreams
- Understanding of confidentiality requirements and PHIPA obligations in a health setting
Assets:
- RBT certification or active pursuit of RBT credential
- Experience working toward or interest in pursuing RBA registration (this role offers meaningful supervised practice hours under our RBA)
- Familiarity with Jane App or similar practice management platforms
- Experience with AAC systems and communication-focused ABA programming
- Bilingual (English/French or English and another community language) is an asset
Why Beacon
- A genuinely blended role for a clinician who wants more than direct therapy hours
- Join a new clinic at the ground floor and help shape how we operate
- Work alongside a collaborative, regulated multidisciplinary team
- Serve a community of families who genuinely need your expertise and support
- Competitive hourly compensation, commensurate with experience
- Full-time, in-clinic position based in Mississauga
