Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre (CABLC) is a local not-for-profit organization launched by parents in 2003. Our vision is to support individuals with varying developmental abilities to embrace a love of life, a love of learning and lifelong friendships in an inclusive and welcoming community. In addition to our regular Learning Centre programs, CABLC offers a summer camp. CAB Summer Camp runs annually for 3 weeks in the summer. "Summer Sizzle Camp 2026" utilizes local community resources and provides planned activities for campers that will contribute to and enhance their social, physical, and cognitive opportunities. All while enjoying the fun of summer!
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Camp Leader to oversee and engage campers in a fun, safe, and educational environment during the summer months. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about working with people and fostering their development through creative activities, games, and learning experiences. As a Summer Camp Leader, you will play a vital role in creating memorable summer experiences while ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a group of 5 campers in various activities, including arts and crafts, sports, outdoor adventures, day trips, and games.
- Implement daily schedules that promote learning, teamwork, and fun.
- Ensure the safety of all campers by monitoring activities and enforcing camp rules.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation and social interaction
- Assist with setting up activity stations and daily clean up.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as tutoring, teaching, early childhood education, or similar environments is highly desirable.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with different abilities are essential qualities for success in this role.
- Previous experience in summer camps or youth programs is a plus but not required; training will be provided to successful candidates.
- Must possess valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Must possess a valid Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
Pay: $19.00 per hour
