Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our vibrant educational team as a 4-5 year old educator for the summer and a infant educator starting in September! The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere. The Early Childhood Teacher will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of our students. This position requires candidates to follow a Classical Education curriculum which is a combination of teaching guided learning activities and experiences, alongside play. We do not follow the Emergent/FLIGHT Curriculum.

Pay will be dependent on Level and amount of experience. The starting wage with no experience for a level 2 without top up is $17.50 per hour
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity among children.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to build strong relationships and support each child's development.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents on their child's growth and development.
- Manage classroom activities, ensuring that all children are engaged and participating in learning experiences.
- Utilize effective time management skills to balance instructional time with play and rest periods.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall educational program.
- Support children with special needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents that occur in the classroom.
Experience
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- MUST already be a level 2 or 3
- Experience working in a childcare or educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire young learners.
- Proficiency in computer operation for lesson planning, record keeping, and communication purposes.
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus, enabling the teacher to cater to diverse learning needs within the classroom.
