Job description
The role of the Registered Massage Therapist within our team involves:
- Performing intake assessments of new patients booked into his/her schedule;
- Provides appropriate massage treatment techniques for all scheduled patients based on assessment and reassessment findings;
- Maintains the patient chart as for College requirements
- Provides external communication as required by jurisdictional / regulatory requirements and stakeholder needs.
- Must be a team player with a positive work ethic that excels in providing clients with the ultimate clinic experience
- Perform various types of massage therapy including, but not limited to: therapeutic, sports, deep tissue, relaxation, pregnancy, and hot stone.
- Perform massages in varying time increments including: 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes
- Communicates directly with the referring physician if a problem arises regarding the patient’s progress, participation in the Complete Rehabilitation treatment, rehabilitation program, or return to work/ADL plan
Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Massage Therapist and a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario
- Holds a current license to practice valid for the province where he/she is employed;
- Holds current professional liability insurance coverage;
- Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate team leadership;
- Ability to communicate well internally and externally;
- Able to demonstrate empathy with patients
