HireLoom Staffing is building a healthcare talent pool for upcoming staffing and recruitment opportunities across Durham Region, the Greater Toronto Area, and surrounding Ontario communities.
We are seeking qualified and compassionate healthcare professionals, including Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Practical Nurses (RPN), Personal Support Workers (PSW), Direct Support Workers (DSW), caregivers, and other healthcare support professionals for potential part-time, full-time, casual, temporary, and contract opportunities.
This is a talent pool posting for current and future opportunities. Applicants may be contacted as suitable roles become available with partner employers, healthcare organizations, clinics, home care providers, community agencies, long-term care homes, retirement homes, and related care settings.
Duties may vary by role and placement setting, but may include:
Providing safe, compassionate, and respectful client or patient support
Assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, mobility, and toileting, where applicable
Monitoring and reporting changes in client or patient condition according to employer policies
Supporting infection prevention and control, safety procedures, and workplace protocols
Documenting care, observations, and relevant information accurately according to role expectations
Supporting clients, patients, residents, and families in a professional and respectful manner
Working collaboratively with nurses, supervisors, healthcare teams, families, and other support staff
Providing dementia care, senior care, mental health support, disability support, community support, or home care support where applicable
Completing tasks within the candidate’s qualifications, training, professional registration, scope of practice, employer policies, and applicable laws
For RN and RPN applicants, duties may also include nursing-related responsibilities where authorized, such as:
Assessments, medication administration, treatments, care planning, documentation, and clinical interventions within the nurse’s scope of practice
Following College of Nurses of Ontario standards, employer policies, and all applicable legislation
Maintaining current professional registration and practising only within authorized role expectations
Requirements
Current CNO registration for applicants applying as an RN or RPN
Valid PSW certificate, DSW certificate, healthcare aide experience, nursing student experience, or relevant healthcare support experience for applicable support roles
CPR/BLS certification preferred or required depending on the placement
Vulnerable Sector Check may be required depending on the employer and setting
Immunization records, TB testing, mask fit, or other onboarding documents may be required depending on the role
Experience in long-term care, retirement homes, home care, hospitals, clinics, community care, mental health, disability support, or similar settings is an asset
Strong communication, reliability, professionalism, and teamwork skills
Ability to follow care plans, workplace policies, privacy requirements, and infection-control procedures
Ability to work respectfully with diverse clients, residents, patients, families, and healthcare teams
