Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Journeyman Red Seal Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in residential, commercial, and industrial carpentry projects, demonstrating proficiency in a wide range of skills including blueprint reading, concrete forming, framing, installing vinyl and metal siding, building decks, restoration, cabinet installation, and more. Duties
- Interpret and work from detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to execute projects accurately.
- Construct, install, repair, and restore structures using various materials such as wood, concrete, vinyl and metal siding, and drywall.
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, roofing, siding, and framing tasks.
- Install cabinets, flooring (including tile laying), doors, windows, and other fixtures with precision.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and other machinery safely and effectively.
- Conduct construction painting, caulking, and finishing work to meet project specifications.
- Assist with construction estimating and material take-offs for project planning.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform maintenance or handyman repairs as needed across various job sites.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Carpenter with Red Seal certification or equivalent qualification.
- Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques including woodworking, framing, siding installation, roofing, and drywall finishing.
- Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics for complex projects.
- Experience with concrete forming, masonry work including rebar installation, and restoration projects.
- Familiarity with cabinet installation, flooring (including tile laying), construction painting, plumbing basics, electrical experience is advantageous.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools (such as CNC machines), scaffolding equipment safely.
- Prior experience in construction estimating is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy lifting and working at heights.

Pay: $31.00-$40.00 per hour

Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- Carpentry: 5 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 Licence (required)
