Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager (CPA) to join our leadership team. This individual will manage a portfolio of clients, oversee engagement quality, mentor team members, and contribute to the firm’s continued growth and succession planning.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys public practice, values work-life balance, and wants the opportunity to influence the future direction of a growing firm.
Qualifications
Required
- CPA designation in good standing.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Canadian CPA firm following designation (or equivalent senior-level public accounting experience).
- Strong understanding of Canadian corporate and personal income tax.
- Experience reviewing:
- Compilation engagements
- Trust returns (T3)
- Corporate tax returns (T2)
- Personal tax returns (T1)
- Experience supervising staff.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Must be able to work primarily from our Ingersoll office.
Preferred
- Experience serving owner-managed businesses.
- Experience with agricultural clients.
- Experience with CaseWare, Profile, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft office
- Experience signing compilation engagements is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of accounting and tax clients.
- Review compilation engagement files.
- Review corporate and personal income tax returns.
- Provide tax planning and business advisory services.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor junior team members.
- Manage engagement budgets and deadlines.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Identify opportunities to improve client service and internal processes.
- Participate in business development and community networking opportunities.
