The typical salary range for this position is $62 400.00 - $85 800.00 annually. The base salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity considerations.
Your mission in the team:
The incumbent will be responsible for managing and protecting all activities related to the technical assets and equipment under the jurisdiction of Corporate Security. This incumbent is also responsible for evaluating the security needs for our stores while supporting our Operations team and ensuring we maintain the budgets for Loss Prevention deterrence.
Your responsibilities as Technical Services Specialist
- Manage activities related to the technical assets/equipment.
- Assist in asset protection activities/responsibilities related to new store and remodel construction sites. Ensure proper equipment is acquired, installed and training provided to appropriate store users.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with Store Design, Purchasing and Maintenance to ensure Loss Prevention issues are adhered to.
- Assist with budgets for guards, shoplifting and deterrence for stores. Work with Operations (VP's, Sr. Directors, DM and SM) to ensure coverage is properly deployed.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors/suppliers of asset protection equipment and services.
- Manage alarm systems event histories, confidential identification codes and system configurations; update alarm systems data ensuring compliance to company guidelines.
- Evaluate security needs for stores under construction or remodel and advise appropriate security strategy; including implementation of guidelines and issuing Post Orders to security companies.
- Place orders and service calls with vendors as related to Security equipment (CCTV, Locks, Card Access, Safes, Alarms).
- Ensure remote connectivity to the stores & distribution centre`s with respect to CCTV, Alarm and Card Access systems are working properly. If necessary liase with IT to troubleshoot remote connectivity.
- Review-Complete PDF drawings for camera, alarm and mag lock locations.
- Reviews, verify, document and track various incidents.
- Conduct video reviews as required.
- Performs administrative duties as required.
The qualifications we are looking for:
- Post-Secondary Education or relevant work experience in a technical administrative role within a retail business environment.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Flexibility to work evenings & weekends as required.
- Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle required for frequent travel throughout Ontario.
- Knowledge of company IT/Networking systems in retail & distribution.
- Knowledge of technical assets/equipment, security and prevention as it relates to Loss Prevention.
- Understanding of current surveillance technology.
- PDF skills is an asset.
- Private Investigator License, knowledge of Investigation principles, practices and techniques is an asset.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Fire Code an asset
- Strong planning, organizational, communication and decision-making skills.
- High degree of integrity and adaptability, with a strong focus on delivering quality work and service.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
