Job Summary
Viacore Calgary is looking for a hardworking, self-motivated, experienced Conveyor Service Technician to join its team, Journeyman, or Apprentice. The ideal candidate is safety conscious, punctual, reliable, and can work well alone or in a team. This is a current vacancy and unionized environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Installing, servicing, or repairing conveyor belts at customer sites in various environmental conditions.
- Complete all required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Complete work as specified in the Sales Order and corresponding Work Instructions (e.g., Splicing belt, lagging pulleys).
- Communicate with Outside Sales for the territory and/or the Service Manager/Shop Foreman regarding any customer complaints/concerns.
- Follow customer rules on work sites, maintain good customer relations and represent the company in a professional manner (i.e., remove all leftover belts, garbage, etc. from the site.)
- Perform shop/warehouse duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Certificate Required:
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Mechanically inclined, hands-on
- Safety conscious
- Committed to a high standard of workmanship
- Detail-oriented
- Punctual, reliable, self-motivated
- Able to work well alone with other people
- Positive attitude
