Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Law Clerk (5+ years of experience) to join our growing team! We are a boutique law firm with over 50 years experience focusing on real estate, corporate and trusts and estates law located close to the vibrant Annex/Little Italy area in Toronto close to public transit.
Responsibilities
- Manage and draft legal documents for real estate transactions, and wills and corporate files
- Create files, complete research, draft documents, lead administrative related tasks with respect to various general and trust accounts, and registrations using Teraview, Conveyancing legal software and Accounting software
- Liaise with clients, agents, lenders, banks, lawyers and various government agencies gathering pertinent information with respect to files above
- Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date records within the firm’s database
- Provide administrative support, including clerical duties such as filing, scheduling appointments, and answering phone calls with professionalism
Qualifications
- Graduate of Legal Clerk or other similar program and 5+ years experience as a legal clerk (real estate highly preferred) and working knowledge of real estate law
- Strong organizational skills, detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Proficient with Outlook, Office365, Word, Teraview, PC Law/Soluno or similar software - financial literacy and knowledge of Excel is a plus
- Previous administrative or clerical experience is highly desirable
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills for client interactions
- Attention to detail is critical for proofreading and document preparation

Pay: $40,315.84-$60,000.00 per year
