CNC Press Brake Operator (TRUMPF)
Shift: Full-Time, Day Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Position Overview
A metal fabrication company is seeking an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator to join its manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating TRUMPF CNC press brake equipment while ensuring parts meet quality, tolerance, and production requirements.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate TRUMPF CNC press brake machines.
Program and optimize bending operations using TRUMPF controls.
Perform bending and forming operations on a variety of sheet metal components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
Select and install appropriate tooling for production requirements.
Adjust ram positions, back gauges, and machine settings to achieve precise tolerances.
Configure bend allowances for stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel materials.
Inspect completed parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
Troubleshoot production issues and make necessary machine adjustments.
Complete production and quality documentation.
Perform routine maintenance and daily equipment checks.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of CNC press brake experience.
Experience operating and programming TRUMPF CNC press brakes is strongly preferred.
Strong sheet metal fabrication background.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Knowledge of press brake tooling, setup procedures, and bend calculations.
Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
Proficiency with precision measuring equipment.
Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with TRUMPF software and offline programming.
Ability to perform complex multi-stage bends.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
Forklift or overhead crane experience is considered an asset.
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
