Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant – Compounding & Billing Specialist to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting pharmacy operations through compounding medications, managing billing processes, and ensuring accurate patient care. Duties
- Assist pharmacists with compounding medications accurately and safely according to medical prescriptions
- Prepare and package compounded medications following established protocols and safety standards
- Manage billing processes, including insurance claims and patient invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain detailed records of compounded medications and billing transactions
- Support patient care by providing medication information and answering related questions under supervision
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and medical terminology standards
- Assist with inventory management of pharmacy supplies and medications
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless medication dispensing and patient service
Skills
- Prior experience in hospital or healthcare pharmacy settings is highly preferred
- Pharmacy technician experience is a strong asset, demonstrating familiarity with compounding procedures and billing systems
- Fillware billling experience or other software billing experience is a must
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail to ensure accuracy in compounding and billing tasks
- Strong communication skills for effective patient care support and team collaboration
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance with safety standards
- Compassionate approach to patient care, with a focus on confidentiality and professionalism
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
