West Coast Gates (WCG) is seeking three hardworking and reliable Labourers to join our chain link fence installation crew for an ongoing industrial project in the Mackenzie, BC area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking steady work, strong earning potential, and a rotational schedule that provides one full week off after every two-week shift rotation.
This position is especially well suited for mature students or individuals seeking seasonal or project-based work with paid travel, accommodations, overtime, and the potential for long-term opportunities. This could lead to permanent full time work for the right candidates
This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in related trades is a plus, and candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions.
Duties
- Assist with chain link fence installation and construction
- Carry and organize materials, tools, and equipment
- Support drilling, post setting, concrete work, and fence panel installation
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all site safety procedures and project requirements
- Work effectively as part of a small professional crew
Skills
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Professional, dependable, and easy to work with
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Physically capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Candidates should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety and quality. Prior experience in construction-related fields or specific trades will be highly valued.
The following are are required to be selected for this position.
- Ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain a valid Passport
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test if required
- Must complete three required safety/training courses PSSP 1, 2 and 3 (approximately two days total)
- Successful candidates will be paid for training time
- Mentorship and assistance will be provided to ensure successful completion
- Preference given to candidates who have PSSP CAT 1, 2, 3 training / certification
- Daily performance bonus
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
