At Central Builders, our cashiers are more than just the last stop in the customer’s shopping journey — they’re the friendly faces that leave a lasting impression. You’ll be working the front end, but you’re truly at the heart of our customer experience.
As a Cashier, you’ll be responsible for accurate and efficient transactions, sure — but it’s also about bringing a great energy to the store, answering questions, pointing people in the right direction, and helping folks leave with confidence in their purchase. You’re often the first and last person our customers interact with, and that matters.
We’re looking for someone dependable, upbeat, and ready to roll up their sleeves and make our store a little better every day.
What you’ll be doing
- Greet every customer with a warm welcome and great energy
- Process purchases, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, debit, credit, gift cards, and account transactions responsibly
- Answer quick product questions and direct customers to the right department
- Keep the checkout area tidy and stocked; support front-end flow
- Support contractor pickups and coordinate with yard/retail teams when needed
- Balance your till, complete end-of-shift cashouts, and flag discrepancies
- Jump in where needed: carry-outs, basic cleaning, light floor support

- Comfortable handling payments and staying accurate under pressure
- Clear communicator; calm during busy periods
- Able to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift 25–30 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented (no ego, just hustle)

Schedule: Day, evening, weekend, and holiday rotation.
Pay: $18.25-$19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
