As a Health Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate in-home support to seniors and individuals needing assistance with daily living. Duties may include:
- Assisting clients with personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
- Providing mobility assistance and safe transfers
- Meal preparation and assistance with eating and drinking
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Medication reminders and medication assistance under supervision
- Monitoring and reporting changes in client condition
- Providing companionship, emotional support, and social engagement
- Supporting clients in maintaining independence and quality of life
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and respectful environment
We are looking for caregivers who are:
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Strong communicators with excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Passionate about helping seniors maintain dignity and independence
- Current registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
- Completion of a recognized Health Care Assistant Program
- Previous caregiving or healthcare experience preferred
- Negative TB test completed within the past 90 days
- Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the past 90 days
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends
- Must be able to speak and write English fluently (additional languages are an asset)
