Volunteer to support our Little Medical School instructors to help create an amazing health and medicine-related summer camp for kids ages 6-12 this summer July to August 2026.
We are looking for fun, friendly, self-motivated and with excellent communication skills volunteer summer camp assistants that will work with our Little Medical School Instructor throughout the day supporting with camp activities, assisting in supervising and engaging campers during program activities, interactive demonstrations, crafts and games, which will teach kids how the body and organs work, know the instruments that real doctors use, apply first aid procedures, tie knots like real surgeons and much more! You will gain valuable leadership and team-building skills working with our kids and Little Medical School staff.
Key Duties:
- Must be able to commit to a minimum of three entire weeks (4 hours per day) of volunteering and/or assigned schedule
- Support our Little Medical School Instructors to help create a safe and fun environment during facilitation of summer camps
- Create a welcoming and youth friendly classroom space
- Provide a positive interaction with students with an emphasis on health and science
- Maintain order and sanitation of classroom materials and supplies
- Provide leadership and participate in camp activities, sharing enthusiasm for each activity
- Must have strength and endurance required to maintain consistent supervision of campers for a 5-day camp
- Enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures
- Assist with clean-up of camp spaces throughout the day
- Other duties as assigned
