Back Shop Attendant

Position Summary
Beacon Hall Golf Club is seeking enthusiastic, professional, and service-oriented individuals to join our Golf Operations team as Back Shop Attendants. As one of the first and last points of contact for our members and guests, Back Shop Attendants play an essential role in delivering the exceptional level of service that defines the Beacon Hall experience.This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors in a fast-paced environment, take pride in attention to detail, and are committed to providing outstanding hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Member & Guest Services
- Welcome members and guests with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Assist with the loading, unloading, cleaning, and storage of golf bags and clubs.
- Clean members' and guests' clubs before and after each round.
- Anticipate member needs and provide personalized service throughout the day.
- Maintain a positive and courteous presence around the clubhouse and practice facilities.
Golf Cart Operations
- Prepare, stage, and organize golf carts prior to play.
- Wash, sanitize, fuel/charge, and inspect carts after use.
- Ensure carts are fully stocked with scorecards, pencils, sand bottles, towels, and other required amenities.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
Practice Facility Operations
- Collect, wash, and replenish driving range golf balls.
- Set up and maintain the driving range, short game area, and practice putting greens.
- Rotate teeing areas and keep practice facilities clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Club Storage & Back Shop
- Organize and maintain the club storage area to Beacon Hall standards.
- Safely handle and store members' golf bags and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional back shop environment.
Tournament & Event Support
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of tournaments, member events, and golf outings.
- Prepare staging areas, signage, scoreboards, and cart assignments.
- Work closely with the Golf Shop team to ensure seamless event execution.
General Duties
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Keep all golf operations areas clean, safe, and well maintained.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Golf Operations management.
Qualifications

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Golf knowledge is considered an asset.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
Availability
- Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Seasonal position (August–October) with full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Pay: $17.60-$21.00 per hour
