This is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of the store: you'll champion outstanding customer service, keep our cash operations running smoothly, and bring our in-store events and public lecture program to life.
What You'll Do
Cash & Till Operations

Lead and train your team to execute flawless till operations every shift

Maintain rigorous adherence to cash handling policies, deposits, and financial reporting

Serve as the ultimate authority on till transactions, returns, and Customer Service desk standards
Customer Experience

Set the tone for every customer interaction — from warm first hellos to confident last impressions

Equip your team to handle concerns with empathy, speed, and professionalism

Champion a culture of genuine, community-minded service that reflects our brand values
Events Coordination

Own the planning, marketing, and registration for in-store events and public lectures

Partner with our Marketing and Purchasing teams to deliver seamless event setups and teardowns

Help create memorable experiences that strengthen Community Natural Foods' ties to the Calgary community
People Leadership

Recruit, onboard, and develop top talent for the Cash department

Build a cohesive, motivated team through consistent feedback, coaching, and clear expectations

Manage scheduling, HR administration, and performance across your department

What You Bring

3–5 years of management experience in grocery retail or a closely related industry

3–5 years of hands-on cash handling experience

A genuine passion for natural foods and wellness, with solid industry product knowledge

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop front-line teams

Strong organizational skills and a self-starter mindset — you don't wait to be told twice

Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills; you're a natural communicator

Experience in hiring, onboarding, and performance management

Solid computer literacy for scheduling, reporting, and communications
