Job Description:
Independant Pharmacy in Oshawa is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Part-Time Pharmacist to work alternating weekends (Saturday 9am - 3pm and Sunday 10am - 3pm). A Pharmacy Assissant will be available to you for the entire duration of your shift. As our pharmacist, you will play an integral role in ensuring the safe and effective medication management for our patients. You will work closely with healthcare professionals and provide expert advice on prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
Responsibilities:
Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and professional standards.
Counsel patients on the proper use of medications, including dosage instructions, possible side effects, and precautions.
Check pre-assembled blister packs for accuracy
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive medication therapy plans for patients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
Current registration and good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
Must have KROLL Paperless experience
Methadone experience an asset
Injection Certified.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications.
