JOB DESCRIPTION
The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality machined parts as per specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, be proficient in programming, and possess excellent technical skills.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Program CNC machines using G-code and other programming languages to create required parts.
- Set-up and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce precision machined parts.
- Verify and record dimensions of parts and adjust machine accordingly to obtain desired quality of end product.
- Perform maintenance requirements on machines and maintain working area and equipment.
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports on equipment.
- Assist with training new employees.
- Other machining and QC related tasks as required.
- Participate in company safety program and contribute to safe working environment.
WHAT DO I NEED TO SUCCEED?
- 3-5 years of related experience with CNC Lathe and Mill operation and set up.
- Journeyman Certificate or years of experience working as a machinist.
- Experience with Fusion 360 would be an asset.
- WHMIS (2015) safety certification would be an asset.
- Valid Class 5 drivers license or reliable transportation access.
- Forklift license would be an asset.
