At Robby’s Group, we are dedicated to keeping our community moving safely and reliably. We are looking for an enthusiastic Journeyman, Apprentice, or Bus & Transport Mechanic to join our shop in Sydney and grow with our team.
Position Overview
Whether you are a seasoned Journeyman or an eager Apprentice looking to advance your career, this position offers a great opportunity to work on automotive, heavy trucks, and trailers. You will work alongside experienced technicians delivering high-quality repairs in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and service heavy trucks, trailers, buses, and automotive equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and safety checks.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and hand/power tools to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Follow all shop safety protocols to ensure a safe and organized work area.
- Keep accurate service records and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience Level: Open to Journeymen, experienced mechanics, or ambitious Apprentices.
- Core Skills: Strong understanding of automotive/heavy truck systems, eager to learn, and great attention to detail.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team setting and take direction from senior technicians.
- Assets: Previous experience in a heavy truck, automotive, or mechanical shop setting.
Compensation & Benefits
- Wages: Commensurate with experience and certification level.
- Benefits: Available following the standard probation period.
