The Principal Consultant is responsible for delivering NetSuite implementation projects while leading the client relationship and managing internal delegation of tasks alongside the Project Manager. This includes ensuring tasks are completed on time and on budget, maintaining the quality and efficiency of Vursor's delivery processes, and ensuring client satisfaction. The Principal Consultant is also accountable for fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement across the project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery (85% of time)
Configure NetSuite features, processes, roles, and permissions based on client requirements and migrate legacy transactional and entity data from client systems into NetSuite.
Document meeting minutes, requirements, and solution design decisions in line with Vursor delivery standards. These standards also apply to communications and interactions with our clients and internal stakeholders.
Internal Process Improvements (5% of time)
Professional Development (5% of time)
Reference for all core business process areas, including Record to Report, Design to Build, Order to Cash, and Procure to Pay.
Proficient in at least three of the following: Fixed Assets Management (FAM), Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), multi-book accounting, SuiteBilling, Field Service Management (FSM), and advanced manufacturing.
Accounting: Reference for all native NetSuite transactions and their GL impact, as well as financial segmentation (incl. Chart of accounts and account types). Advanced knowledge of concepts such as foreign currencies, currency revaluations, eliminations, revenue deferral, expense amortization, inventory costing, as well as financial reporting.
Industry Exposure: Advanced understanding of at least one of the following verticals and proficiency in at least 3: Recruitment & Staffing, Private equity, Hospitality, FSM/Construction, Financial Services/Insurance and SaaS/Business Services
Technical Familiarity: Act as a reference regarding NetSuite configuration options (custom fields, workflows, reporting, dashboards). Extensive experience with SuiteScripts as well as custom records, transactions and segments. In depth knowledge of SuiteFlow or SuiteAnalytics is an asset.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members. Ability to adapt approach to client specific requirements and manage scope creep. Capacity to de-escalation certain topics with the client as well as act as a back for a PM.
Certifications required as follows: SuiteFoundation, NetSuite Administrator, Financial User,SuiteAnalytics User, ERP Consultant, and at least two enablements (ARM, SuiteBilling, MultiBook, FSM). The candidate should also be certified with at least one 3rd party partner
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
