The Opportunity
Nicholson has an immediate opening for a full-time Parts Sales Specialist within our Aftermarket Sales Department in our Sidney, BC manufacturing plant. You’ll be part of a dynamic, independently driven team whose role is to advance Nicholson’s Aftermarket Sales and Service Department’s mission: Building loyalty for our customers by delivering superior customer service. You’ll work closely with logistics, purchasing, operations, international 3PL, agents and service team members, collaborating to meet sales targets.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify sales opportunities; up-sell and cross-sell related or replacement parts, and promote upgrades and new products.
- Process quotes, sales orders, returns, credits, and warranty-related parts transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, quotes, and customer interactions in Saleforce.
- Consistently advance your technical knowledge of Nicholson’s product lines, updates, and promotions, and those of its competitors.
- Meet or exceed department sales targets and key performance metrics.
Skills
- Post-Secondary education or relevant work experience
- 2+ years of customer-facing sales or support in a sales environment
- Fluent in English (spoken and written). Secondary language (French, Spanish, German) is an asset
- Experience with MS Office 365 productivity programs
- Experience using Salesforce / CRM tools
- Familiar with heavy industrial equipment and spare parts or keenly interested to learn. Maybe you were that kid who was obsessed with heavy equipment in the sandbox?
- Superior customer service and relationship building skills. You’re a natural with people.
- You possess the ability to think creatively and solve problems
- You are an effective communicator
- Organized and deadline-focused with an eye for the details
