Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Upholsterer to join our team.
This role requires someone who can work independently, with little or no guidance. You should be confident in your skills and able to complete jobs from start to finish on your own.
You must have strong technical experience, including:
- Diamond tufting
- Modern tufting
- Channel work
- Curved and complex pieces
We are looking for someone with at least 10 years of upholstery experience.
Your main responsibility will be padding and upholstering furniture to a high standard, making sure every piece is clean, accurate, and well-finished.
Responsibilities
- Remove old upholstery and padding from furniture pieces.
- Apply new padding and upholstery materials to furniture, ensuring a tight fit and smooth finish.
- Repair or replace damaged frames, springs, or structural components when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Maintain an organized workspace, keeping tools and materials tidy.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality control standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Upholsterer or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques, materials, and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina, as the role may involve lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with cutting fabric or patterns is a bonus, but not required.
