What You'll Do
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a diverse fleet of equipment, including:
· Caterpillar, Komatsu, and John Deere equipment
· Dozers
· Graders
· Haul trucks
· Hydraulic excavators (track hoes)
· Trucks and trailers
· Cranes and other support equipment
Responsibilities:
· Performing engine diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls.
· Completing major component change-outs on heavy mining equipment.
· Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems.
· Performing preventative maintenance and inspections.
· Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
· Servicing truck and trailer fleets.
· Diagnosing and repairing crane systems.
· Reading and interpreting service manuals and schematics.
· Maintaining accurate repair records.
· Working safely while maintaining a clean and organized shop.
· Supporting fellow team members to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 3+ years of mechanical experience.
· Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician or Automotive Service Technician certification.
· Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
· Experience with heavy equipment diagnostics and repair.
· Engine diagnostic and overhaul experience.
· Major component replacement experience on heavy equipment.
· Hydraulic diagnostic and repair experience.
· Truck and trailer maintenance experience.
· Crane diagnostic and repair experience is considered an asset.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
· Own transportation.
· Own tools.

Schedule
· Monday to Friday
· 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
· 40-hour work week with overtime available (40–60 hours per week)
