Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our cleaning and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction within our hotel or hospitality environment. This leadership role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a background in cleaning and custodial services. The Housekeeping Supervisor will coordinate staff activities, monitor quality control, and promote a positive work environment to deliver exceptional service.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
- Schedule shifts and assign tasks to housekeeping staff based on occupancy levels and operational needs.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment; place orders as necessary.
- Address guest concerns or complaints promptly, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures to uphold a safe working environment for all staff members.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special requests or event setups requiring housekeeping services.
- Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, performance, and training activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or hospitality environments, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, hotel standards, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with staff and guests.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with industrial cleaning or large-scale custodial operations is a plus.
