Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant Level II to join our dynamic dental team. This role provides vital support to our dental practitioners and ensures a smooth patient experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with dental software such as AbelDent, as well as knowledge of orthodontics , perio and Endo will be highly valued. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when required
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort
- Maintain infection control standards and adhere to safety protocols
- Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Assist with lab tasks related to dental appliances or orthodontic devices
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed and materials used
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant Level II or similar role in a clinical setting
- Proficiency with dental software systems such as Epic and Dentrix
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Experience with CAD for digital impressions or lab work is preferred
- Strong understanding of infection control practices and sterilization techniques
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively
- Certification in dental assisting is required; additional certifications in orthodontics or pediatrics are advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
