Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Waiter to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role is essential in delivering a memorable dining experience through excellent service, effective communication, and efficient order management.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including proper food handling and food safety practices
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Follow all restaurant policies regarding sanitation, safety, and food industry regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS and basic math skills for cashiering tasks
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Basic understanding of food industry operations and hospitality principles
- Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays or serveware comfortably
- Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are a plus but not mandatory
