Journeyman/Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician (HET)
We are seeking skilled Journeyman and Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technicians (HET) to safely troubleshoot and repair a variety of heavy mining equipment, including Wiggle Wagons, Haul Trucks, Dozers, Graders, and Excavators. You will be part of a dedicated maintenance team working strategically to support the overall maintenance plan. Additionally, you will be expected to promote a strong safety culture, adhere to company policies, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
Location and Shift Details:
- This is a local position in Fort McMurray; camp accommodations and flights are not provided.
- Shift Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off (12-hour shifts).
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of heavy to medium-sized mining equipment.
- Perform maintenance in line with OEM standards and industry best practices.
- Document maintenance work and repairs accurately.
- Communicate progress and updates to supervisors to ensure operational goals are achieved.
- Report any incidents, damages, or near misses promptly.
- Additional tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience with heavy equipment maintenance, particularly in a mining environment.
- Commitment to safety protocols and company policies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
