About the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated, Red Seal endorsed Class A Technician to join our busy service department. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our fleet's operational efficiency by utilizing advanced diagnostic tools, resolving complex electrical/mechanical faults, and providing high-quality workmanship that exceeds customer expectations.
- Diagnostics & Repair: Utilize diagnostic equipment to accurately troubleshoot and repair engine, transmission, electrical, and braking systems.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks (oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups) to manufacturer specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct Ministry of Transportation (MTO) safety inspections and ensure all repairs meet provincial and federal standards.
- Documentation: Complete accurate work orders and maintain clear records of parts used and time spent on each task.
- Mentorship: Assist and share expertise with junior/apprentice technicians in the shop.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Certification: Possess a valid Ontario Class A Journeyman License (e.g., 310S or 310T).
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on, post-licensure experience in automotive or commercial vehicle repair.
- Tools: Must have own standard set of professional technician tools.
- Driver’s License: Valid Ontario Class G (or DZ) driver's license with a clean abstract.
- Work Ethic: Strong problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
