Little Hands Childcare Centre is seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated --Early Learning Supervisor-- to lead our team in a warm, collaborative, and Reggio Emilia-inspired learning environment. We believe children are capable, competent, and full of potential. Our educators foster curiosity, creativity, and meaningful relationships while creating engaging learning experiences based on children's interests and inquiry.
As the Early Learning Supervisor, you will provide leadership, mentorship, and support to our team of educators while ensuring the delivery of exceptional early learning programs that promote children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
* Supervise, mentor, and support early childhood educators, assistants, trainees, and volunteers.
* Coordinate and oversee the daily activities of early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
* Foster a collaborative, respectful, and reflective team culture aligned with the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
* Observe, assess, and synthesize children's overall development and communicate their progress with families.
* Support educators in implementing engaging, child-centred, and inquiry-based learning experiences.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with families, colleagues, and community partners.
* Ensure compliance with all provincial childcare licensing regulations and centre policies.
* Establish positive behaviour guidance practices that promote inclusion, respect, and social-emotional development.
* Plan and maintain a safe, healthy, secure, and nurturing environment for all children.
* Order classroom supplies and equipment as needed.
* Lead and participate in staff meetings to discuss children's development, programming, and continuous quality improvement.
-Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who possesses:
* Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certification in good standing with the applicable provincial regulatory body.
* Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a licensed childcare setting.
* Strong knowledge of childcare licensing regulations.
* Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* A genuine passion for the Reggio Emilia approach and emergent curriculum.
* The ability to mentor and inspire a team of educators.
* A commitment to building strong partnerships with children, families, and the community.

* Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certification
* Valid First Aid & CPR (Level C) Certification
* Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
* Immunization record
* TB clearance letter
