Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and safety across various facilities, ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the ability to perform custodial tasks efficiently. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in facilities maintenance and customer service within a professional setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in commercial or industrial environments
- Use hand tools and power tools for maintenance and cleaning purposes as needed
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or pressure washers to ensure high standards of cleanliness
- Manage time effectively to complete assigned cleaning schedules within designated timeframes
- Ensure all areas are cleaned according to safety standards and company policies
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding cleaning needs or maintenance issues
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary to move furniture, supplies, or equipment safely
Skills
- Experience with custodial work, commercial cleaning, or facilities maintenance is advantageous
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in cleaning or minor repairs
- Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and proper use of cleaning chemicals
- Excellent customer service skills to address client needs professionally
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors
- Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleanliness across all areas
- Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation
