Position Summary:
We are seeking a Counter Sales Team Member to join our Richmond branch. This front-line role is essential for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, sharing product expertise, and supporting sales and inventory teams. You will ensure smooth operations and maintain a professional, organized counter experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Interaction
- Greet and assist walk-in customers promptly and courteously.
- Provide product guidance on plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, and building materials.
- Answer phone calls professionally and manage inquiries efficiently.
- Ensure every customer is treated respectfully and supported throughout their visit.
- Maintain punctuality and professional conduct at all times.
Sales Transactions & Support
- Process sales orders, returns, and refunds accurately.
- Support Sales Representatives with custom or special orders.
- Promote ongoing promotions, new product lines, and services.
- Cover the counter during peak periods or staff absences.
Stock & Inventory Management
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Inventory teams to ensure product availability.
- Restock shelves, maintain organized aisles, and report inventory issues.
- Accurately input Purchase Orders with correct pricing and part numbers.
Workplace Presentation & Compliance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional counter area.
- Keep promotional materials (pens, brochures, bags) stocked.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
- Wear the company uniform, including vest and name badge, daily.
Product Knowledge & Continuous Learning
- Stay up-to-date on product lines and technical details.
- Participate in ongoing training and share knowledge with customers.
- Learn and utilize company software (Epicore) to manage sales and inventory.
Escalation & Communication
- Escalate complex customer issues to management professionally.
- Maintain open communication with Sales, Warehouse, and Management teams.
- Represent Kasa Supply professionally in all interactions.
Workplace Policies & Expectations
- Follow cell phone, break, and dress code policies.
- Maintain professionalism and a customer-focused mindset at all times.
- Adhere to stock room access rules and workplace communication standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of counter sales, inside sales, or customer service experience.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, and building materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with point-of-sale and inventory management systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset.
