Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for the quoting of hydraulic cylinder products and for the launching of new opportunities through the Prototype process.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure quoting is accurate and reflects current costs and processes.
- Collaborating with the engineering team to ensure customers’ requirements are met regarding performance and that Monarch’s design rules are supported in the quoting process.
- Achieving the targets set for contribution by quote, account, product category and market.
- Execute action plans to address low margin accounts and low margin high volume part numbers.
- Provide and track quoting while providing weekly updates of quote log activities.
- Gather, review, present data from actual performance vs. quoted targets.
- Investigate market pricing positions (competitive analysis).
- Conduct product postmortems and RFQ feedback process across all hydraulic product lines.
- Conduct all activities and execute all duties with enthusiasm and a positive, results- focused attitude.
- Support company initiatives and policies enthusiastically.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience Required:
- Demonstrated analytic capability related to performance and metrics.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
- Previous manufacturing experience an asset.
- Experience and understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles an asset.
Education Required:
- A graduate with an Engineering Technologist Diploma or Post-Secondary student or graduate in business, engineering or equivalent.
- 1-3 years’ practical experience would be an asset.
Skills and Attributes Required:
- Highly motivated, self-starter. Demonstrated ability to adhere to tight schedules with minimal supervision.
- Proven time management and personal organization skills while working on multiple projects with a track record of completion within tight timelines.
- Proven problem-solving skills combined with mechanical aptitude.
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other common applications.
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
- Extremely energetic, results oriented and highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
