JOB DESCRIPTION – SERVER
Position Summary:
As a Server at the Royal Canadian Legion in Cloverdale, you play a vital role in providing a respectful, friendly, and efficient experience to our members and guests. You are expected to work closely with your fellow team members, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure all items are accurately entered through the POS system before being served.
Key Responsibilities:·
Teamwork & Communication
- Collaborate with fellow servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, food runners and management to create a supportive, efficient, safe and respectful work environment.
- Communicate clearly and calmly under pressure to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
Customer Service
- Greet all members and guests warmly, using their names when known, and build positive rapport with regular patrons.
- Take food and beverage orders in a timely, professional manner.
- Be attentive to guest needs and respond quickly to requests or concerns.
Point of Sale (POS) Operation
- Ensure all food and beverage items are entered into the POS system prior to being served.
- Confirm that tabs and payments are accurately processed and balanced.
- Maintain accuracy in orders, receipts, and change handling.
Service Duties
- Serve food and beverages to tables and bar patrons with care and efficiency.
- Clear tables, reset, and maintain cleanliness throughout your shift.
- Assist with stocking, restocking, and closing duties as assigned.
Legion Standards & Conduct
- Uphold the values and respectful culture of the Royal Canadian Legion.
- Comply with liquor service regulations and Legion policies at all times.
- Maintain a clean and presentable appearance according to dress code guidelines.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in the food and beverage services industry (Servers: 1 year preferred).
* Serving It Right
* Current FOODSAFE Level 1

Pay: $18.25-$19.25 per hour
