Position Overview:
We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Wash Bay Attendant who takes pride in delivering clean, presentation-ready vehicles. This role plays an important part in both our service and sales operations by ensuring all vehicles are thoroughly cleaned, maintained, and ready for customer delivery or display.
Key Responsibilities:
● Vehicle Cleaning (Service & Sales): Wash, dry, and clean vehicles throughout the day, including customer vehicles from the service department and inventory vehicles for the sales lot.
● Interior Detailing: Vacuum interiors, wipe down surfaces, clean windows, and remove debris to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
● Exterior Detailing: Perform thorough exterior washes, including rims, tires, and bug/tar removal as needed.
● Quality Control: Inspect vehicles after cleaning to ensure they meet dealership presentation standards before being returned to customers or placed on the lot.
● Lot Readiness: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of vehicles on the sales lot, ensuring they are presentable at all times.
● Shop Support: Work closely with service advisors and technicians to prioritize vehicles and maintain workflow efficiency.
● Equipment Maintenance: Properly use and maintain wash bay equipment, ensuring tools and cleaning supplies are stocked and in good working condition.
● Safety & Cleanliness: Keep the wash bay and surrounding work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.
● Weather Adaptability: Perform duties in various weather conditions, ensuring vehicles remain clean and presentable year-round.
● Professionalism: Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance while representing the dealership.
Required Skills & Experience:
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
● Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
● Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
● Ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles (asset but not required).
● Previous experience in vehicle detailing or a similar role is an asset, but not required.
● Physically capable of standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
