We are seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver / Equipment Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting equipment and operating heavy equipment in the field, including loaders and excavators equipped with grapples. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
This position is based at Foster Creek. Camp Accommodations provided for non-local residents.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely transport heavy equipment and materials to and from job sites.
- Load, secure, and unload equipment in accordance with transportation regulations.
- Operate wheel loaders equipped with grapples.
- Operate excavators with mat grapples for handling mats and other materials.
- Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections and complete required documentation.
- Conduct routine maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Work effectively with supervisors, operators, and field crews.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned equipment.
Role Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
- Experience hauling and moving heavy equipment.
- Proven experience operating loaders with grapples and/or excavators with mat grapples.
- Strong understanding of load securement and transportation regulations.
- Ability to work safely in various weather and field conditions.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work overtime and travel as required.
- Candidate must also pass a Drug & Alcohol screening Test & Physical demand analysis.
