Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Lead to join our retail team at our sister store dolce vita . The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer service. This role involves overseeing daily store operations, driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Bilingual abilities and prior retail management experience are highly valued. As a Sales Lead, you will play a key role in motivating the team, implementing marketing strategies, and maintaining store standards to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the retail team to meet sales goals and deliver outstanding customer service
- Manage daily store operations including merchandising, pricing, and inventory control
- Oversee POS transactions, cash handling, and bookkeeping to ensure accuracy and security
- Recruit, train, and develop staff through effective onboarding and ongoing coaching
- Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and increase sales volume
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members for continuous improvement
- Coordinate purchasing activities to maintain optimal stock levels and product assortment
- Develop and manage budgets, monitor sales performance metrics, and analyze sales data for strategic planning
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and store procedures
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, leadership development, and organizational excellence
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales management with supervising or team leadership responsibilities
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence customer decisions and vendor relationships
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Demonstrated proficiency in merchandising, pricing strategies, POS systems, and cash handling
- Experience in recruiting, training & development, scheduling, and payroll management
- Knowledge of marketing techniques relevant to retail environments
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple priorities
- Administrative experience including bookkeeping, budgeting, and inventory control
- Leadership qualities with a focus on motivating teams and fostering professional growth
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette mindset
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced retail setting with strong problem-solving capabilities
