Job Description
e-MCi is currently seeking a qualified and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our team for industrial electrical work. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing electrical installations, cable tray installation, cable pulling, terminations, troubleshooting, and maintenance in an industrial environment.
We are looking for someone who is safety-focused, experienced in industrial settings, and able to work independently or as part of a crew. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to complete work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform industrial electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance
- Install cable tray, conduit, supports, and related electrical systems
- Pull, route, dress, and secure electrical cables
- Complete cable terminations and assist with testing as required
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics
- Install and connect motors, panels, lighting, controls, and electrical equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify issues efficiently
- Ensure all work is completed according to the Canadian Electrical Code and site safety requirements
- Work safely around industrial equipment and active job sites
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, time spent, and materials used
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, customers, and other trades
- Mentor or support apprentices when required
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician certification
- Red Seal certification considered an asset
- Industrial electrical experience required
- Experience with cable tray installation and cable pulling
- Experience with conduit installation, supports, and terminations
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and site plans
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to lift, bend, climb, and work in various industrial job site conditions
Pay: $43.00-$46.00 per hour
