Overview
Arctech Glass Ltd. is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our team. The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to produce high-quality components efficiently and safely.
Job Duties
- Operate CNC and automated machines used for cutting, edging, grinding, drilling, and polishing glass panels according to work orders and specifications.
- Set up and adjust machine controls, cutting parameters, and polishing settings to ensure accurate glass fabrication.
- Load, position, and secure glass sheets onto machines using automated glass handling equipment and control systems.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper cutting, shaping, and finishing of glass products.
- Inspect finished glass pieces to ensure measurements, edge quality, and finishing meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Perform routine machine maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report major equipment malfunctions to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
- Maintain production records and follow work orders for glass fabrication processes.
- Follow workplace safety procedures when operating machinery and handling glass materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in the fabrication shop.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2-year diploma in a relevant field such as manufacturing technology, mechanical technology, CNC machining, or a related technical program.
- Minimum 2 year of relevant work experience.
- Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
- Experience with machine repair or maintenance is an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
