Job Description:
This role supports third-party maintenance operations for an airline at Toronto Pearson International Airport, focusing on mechanical troubleshooting, line maintenance, and repair of commercial aircraft. You will work hands-on on the line, ensuring aircraft are safe, reliable, and ready for service while adhering to all applicable regulations and maintenance standards.
Responsibilities

Perform mechanical troubleshooting on in-service aircraft to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.

Carry out aircraft line maintenance activities, including inspections, adjustments, and component replacements in accordance with approved maintenance data.

Conduct repairs on aircraft systems and structures, ensuring all work meets regulatory and safety standards.

Diagnose and correct faults in hydraulic systems, including leak checks, component changes, and functional testing.

Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic systems, ensuring proper operation and reliability.

Work on aircraft types such as A320, A330, and B737 within the scope of your AME M2 endorsement and authorization.

Document all maintenance tasks accurately in technical logs and maintenance records, following established procedures.

Collaborate with a small team of technicians and engineers to prioritize tasks and ensure on-time aircraft dispatch.

Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and proper use of tools and equipment, to maintain a safe working environment.

Communicate clearly with operations and flight crews regarding aircraft status, defects, and maintenance actions.

Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and suggesting maintenance or process enhancements.
Essential Skills

Valid AME M2 license or equivalent authorization to perform maintenance on applicable aircraft types.

Proven experience in aircraft line maintenance, including inspections, troubleshooting, and on-wing repairs.

Hands-on expertise in mechanical troubleshooting of commercial aircraft systems.

Ability to perform aircraft repairs in compliance with maintenance manuals and regulatory requirements.

Strong understanding of maintenance documentation, including technical logs, work cards, and service bulletins.

Capability to work independently on the line while also collaborating effectively within a small team.

Willingness and ability to work a 5-5-4 night shift schedule (5:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.).

- Previous experience supporting third-party maintenance operations at a major airport.

Work Environment
You work in a small, team-based environment at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), focused on line maintenance operations. The position follows a 5-5-4 shift pattern, with straight night shifts from 5:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., supporting continuous aircraft operations. You will spend most of your time on the apron and in hangar areas, working around active aircraft and ground support equipment, and using standard aviation maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment in a fast-paced, safety-conscious setting.
