Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Receptionist and PTA to join our healthcare team. This dual-role position involves managing patient interactions at the front desk while providing physical therapy assistance under supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with medical terminology. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage check-in and check-out processes at the front desk
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle rescheduling as needed
- Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records and documentation
- Assist the Physical Therapist with implementing treatment plans and exercises
- Prepare treatment areas, ensure equipment cleanliness, and assist during therapy sessions
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and provide support throughout their visit
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
Skills
- Prior experience in hospital or acute care settings is preferred
- Strong knowledge of patient care procedures and medical terminology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail for accurate record keeping and documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a clinical setting
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
