Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer projects from inception through to completion, ensuring effective coordination between customers, internal teams, and subcontractors. The position involves developing customer relationships, preparing estimates and quotes for both small and complex projects based on defined scopes and customer requirements, and project-managing the work through installation and completion. The position offers a base compensation and for a candidate who is interested and able to generate sales independently, an upgrade in the role to Account Manager which includes a commission structure.
Duties
- Submitting new customer registration forms to customers for completion
- Developing customer relationships and, as applicable generating new leads/sales opportunities
- Supporting assigned or walk-in leads/sales opportunities
- Managing existing customer projects
- Periodic availability off-hours for urgent customer inquiries/management
- Defining scope of projects (based on customer details) and identifying resource requirements for jobs
- Submitting new materials code requests
- Assessing and facilitating new subcontractor registrations
- Checking subcontractor standing/compliance prior to release of PO’s
- Generating estimates/quotes through the Estimator for large/complex projects
- Facilitating completion of surveys, permits, JSA’s, signed-off artwork, signed-off quote documentation, job-specific PO’s, and storing in our online repository
- Generating work orders for in-house manufacturing and shipping, and filing hardcopies in physical files and softcopies online
- Generating PO’s for outsourced manufacturing/installation
- Managing customer interaction regarding changes in scope/timeline and liaising with internal teams to address changes
- Participating in WIP meetings, communicating issues with the Production Manager and actioning key items as required
- Facilitating and/or submitting permit applications (in-house or subcontracted)
- Creating installation work orders
- Understanding and accepting accountability for overall quality, milestones, deliverables, and job costs
- Monitoring project profit margins throughout, reviewing job cost reports, and assessing opportunities for margin improvement
- Receiving all PO’s related to each job
- Obtaining JSA and completion photo documentation from subcontractors, ensuring documents are uploaded to our online document repository
- Notifying Service/Install Manager of potential warranty claims
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Project Management, Operations Management, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, account management, or operations in a manufacturing, construction, or signage environment. DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS POSITION IF YOU DO NOT POSSESS THIS MINIMUM REQUIREMENT.
- Experience managing gas station projects an asset
- French bilingual capabilities a strong asset
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management from sales/estimation through production, installation, and closeout
- Experience preparing estimates, quotes, work orders, and purchase orders
- Familiarity with ERP systems and project tracking tools (e.g., job costing, scheduling, production tracking)
- Ability to interpret project scopes, drawings, and customer requirements to define job requirements and resource needs
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders including customers, production teams, subcontractors, and internal departments
- Strong understanding of job costing, profitability tracking, and margin analysis
- Experience managing documentation workflows (permits, safety documentation such as JSAs, approvals, completion records, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and document management systems (e.g., Dropbox or similar platforms)
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects simultaneously with competing deadlines
Pay: $64,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
